An exciting new plan has been adopted to help ensure the continuation of aged care services by the Stroud Community Lodge for another 25 years.
Stroud Community Lodge board chairman Rod Williams said the board will implement a new plan to respond to the Federal Government’s deregulation of the aged care sector.
“Initially, we’ll be focusing on capturing opportunities opening up this year as a result of changes to the home care market,” Mr Williams said.
The business plan for the lodge’s new enterprise, Stroud Community Services, was unveiled to members at the briefing.
“Expanding into the provision of home care services for the Stroud district presents a natural way to grow our business,” Mr Williams said.
“Home care means the Stroud Community Lodge can use its existing reputation, and staff, to provide aged care services for many more people in Stroud and the surrounding district.”
Mr Williams said he appreciated and was very encouraged by the interest shown in the Lodge’s future by its members and the local community.
“For a number of years there has been talk within the Stroud community about the potential futures for the Stroud Community Lodge.
“Last night’s briefing highlighted the comprehensive effort made by the lodge board and staff to preserve and enhance this wonderful facility that 25 years of locally driven hard work has created.
“It also reinforced just how important a secure future for the Stroud Community Lodge is to the local community.”
